Eight from Softball Named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes
Kaitlin Pettenger, Katelin Howe, Katie Kranz, Kayla Richard, Jess Rowe, Kyla Igawa, Julie Schriver, and Mikaela Martinez earn honors
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches' Association (NFCA) recently announced the top cumulative grade point averages among NCAA Division I, II, III, the NAIA, and junior colleges, along with individual Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes. The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories.
Team GPAs and scholar-athletes are submitted by member head coaches.
8,054 collegiate student-athletes among NCAA Division I, II, and III, the NAIA, and junior colleges captured Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the academic year. 2,285 placed in NCAA Division III, with eight student-athletes being from the Black & Gold.
Kaitlin Pettenger, Katelin Howe, Katie Kranz, Kayla Richard, Jess Rowe, Kyla Igawa, Julie Schriver, and Mikaela Martinez each finished the 2023-2024 academic year with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher to be named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes.
