Schaumloffel Earns CNE Women's Cross Country Elite 21 Award; Finishes 18th at CNE Championship
Emma Schaumloffel earned the conference's Elite 21 award for women's cross country and recorded the highest individual finish at the conference championship in program history (18th)
WENHAM, Mass. –Emma Schaumloffel earned the 2025 Conference of New England Women's Cross Country Elite 21 Award at the CNE Championship held at Gordon College. The award is given to the student-athlete with the highest GPA competing at the conference championship. A Civil Engineering major with a perfect grade point average through her first two semesters, she becomes Wentworth's first Elite 21 recipient in the two years the award has been in existence.
As a team, the Leopards amassed 225 points to finish ninth.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- For the fifth time this season, Schaumloffel was Wentworth's leading runner as she finished 18th (18 points) with a 6K program record time of 23:57.91. Her 18th-place finish was the top finish by a Wentworth women's cross country student-athlete in program history.
- Summer Daniels notched a personal best time of 24:32.64, which placed her 30th (30 points).
- Annie King had a season-best time of 30:42.00 as she finished 85th (58 points)
- Kirsten Alexson placed 89th (59 points) with a time of 31:56.55.
- Anabelle Mendez rounded out Wentworth's runners, finishing 91st (60 points) with a time of 35:30.38.
