Women’s Volleyball Claims Third Straight AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology women's volleyball team has earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award.

The awards recognize both men's, women's, and beach volleyball programs across the NCAA's three divisions, NAIA, junior colleges, and high school divisions that maintain a year-long grade-point average (GPA) of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or 4.10 or higher on a 5.0 scale). This year, 1,432 teams were honored by the association.

For the third straight year and fourth overall (2020, 2023, 2024, 2025) season, the Leopards earn the AVAC Team Academic Award. The Black & Gold bring home the award after posting a 3.57 cumulative GPA as a team.
