Sanders Named CNE Player of the Week
Women's volleyball student-athlete Emma Sanders averaged 3.91 kills and 3.09 digs per set while hitting .481 in a 3-0 week
BOSTON, Mass. – After an outstanding week that saw her post a pair of double-doubles, Wentworth Institute of Technology women's volleyball student-athlete Emma Sanders has been named the Conference of New England's Player of the Week.
In a 3-0 week for the Leopards, Sanders put down 43 kills (3.91 per set), had 34 digs (3.09 per set) and hit .481 (43-4-81). She also served nine aces.
In a 3-1 win over Simmons, she hit .571 (17-1-28) with 12 digs and four aces and followed up with 11 kills (11-0-25), 15 digs, and three aces in a 3-1 win over Regis, and finished the week with a 15-kill, seven-dig, two-ace performance in a 3-0 win over Sarah Lawrence.
On the season, Sanders is averaging 3.95 kills, 0.75 aces, and 2.55 digs per set while hitting .398.
Riding a three-match win streak, Wentworth sits at 4-2 and is at Emmanuel tomorrow (September 10) night.
