Women’s Volleyball Claims Second Straight AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) today announced its annual Team Academic Awards, sponsored by INTENT. The awards recognize both men's, women's, and beach volleyball programs across the NCAA's three divisions, NAIA, junior colleges, and high school divisions that maintain a year-long grade-point average (GPA) of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or 4.10 or higher on a 5.0 scale). A record-breaking 1,450 teams were honored by the association this year.

For the second straight and third overall (2020, 2023, 2024) season, the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's volleyball team earned the AVCA Team Academic Award. The Black & Gold hauled home the award after posting a 3.40 cumulative GPA as a team.
