Sanders Named CCC Co-Rookie of the Week
Emma Sanders earns third Rookie of the Week award and fourth CCC weekly award on the year
BEVERLY, Mass. – An impressive stretch of eleven-straight wins for the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's volleyball team continued this week, additionally with another student-athlete earning Commonwealth Coast Conference recognition. Freshman Emma Sanders (Mount Pleasant, S.C.) was named Co-Rookie of the Week for matches played October 23-29.
Sanders earned her third Rookie of the Week honor and fourth conference weekly award this week after totaling 17 finishes across a combined four sets of play against Western New England and Hartford. She recorded a hitting percentage of .356 and 14 digs between the two sweeps.
Wentworth is 19-5 this season, 6-0 in CCC action, and visits Gordon on Wednesday.
