Women’s Track & Field Sets Several Program Records at Bridgewater Invitational
The Leopards set three program records and earned several top 10 finishes at the Bridgewater Bears Invitational on Friday

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology women's track and field team had a very strong showing at the Bridgewater Bears Invitational on Friday afternoon. The Leopards set three program records and earned several top 10 finishes as they prepare for the CNE championship meet next week.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The 4x100m relay team of Princess Nimely, Alexis Heretakis, Kirsten Alexson, and Olivia Holley placed second, finishing with a time of 51.27, setting a program record.
- Heretakis placed second in the 400m dash, finishing with a time of 1:03.55, setting a program record.
- Santos took third in the shot put with a throw of 10.64m, setting a program record. Santos also placed second in the javelin with a throw of 30.02m.
- Three Leopards finished in the top 5 of the 100m hurdles with Laci Santos taking second with a time of 16.63. Alexson finished third at 17.26 and Jayani Bennett took fourth with a time of 17.33.
- Summer Daniels took third in the 1500m run, finishing with a time of 5:32.62 and Nimely took fifth in the 100m dash with a time of 13.74.
- Makayla Gasper earned fourth place in the 800m run with a time of 2:40.44 while Alexson took third in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:16.56.
- Jordan Bennett took sixth in the long jump with a jump of 4.40m and finished seventh with a jump of 9.64m. Bianca Resende-Ambroise took sixth in the triple jump with a jump of 9.69m.
- Sasha Feron took seventh in the discus with a throw of 25.29m. Kaleigh West took sixth in the hammer throw with a throw of 27.37m.
