Two Records Fall in Women's Indoor Track & Field's Season Opener
Princess Nimely (200M) and Alexis Heretakis (long jump) etch their names into the program record book in their collegiate debuts as the Leopards open the season

BOSTON, Mass. – A pair of program records were broken as the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's indoor track & field team opened its season at the Suffolk Ice Breaker Invitational, competing at the TRACK at New Balance.
The season-opening event was a non-scoring event.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In her collegiate debut, Princess Nimely set a record in the 200M dash, running a time of 29.07, with was 0.11 seconds faster than the previous mark which was set at the same facility. Overall, she finished 57th in an event featuring 83 runners.
- In the long jump, Alexis Heretakis had a top jump of 4.60M, which eclipsed the previous mark of 4.57M, set last season. She finished 15th out of 41 competitors, while also competing in her collegiate debut.
- Laci Santos placed 12th in the shot put with a best throw of 10.48M.
- The Leopards' 4X400M relay of Anabelle Mendez, Princess Nimely, Kirsten Alexson, Alexis Heretakis notched a 15th-place finish with a time of 4:43.00.
