Women's Soccer Battles Mount Holyoke to a Draw
Leopards, Lyons play to a 0-0 stalemate, which ran Wentworth's unbeaten streak to five to start the season

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology women's soccer team ran its season-opening unbeaten streak to five with a 0-0 tie at Mount Holyoke on Wednesday night.
The Leopards stand at 3-0-2 while the Lyons are 1-1-2. Three of Wentworth's first five games have been shutouts.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- A pair of early corner kicks by Wentworth gave the Leopards two scoring opportunities but the ensuing shots were both blocked. Lily Carlson and Jordan Dahan put the Black & Gold's first shots on net at 16:40 and 17:54, with both being saved.
- Mount Holyoke had a pair of chances – both off corner kicks – to take the lead but Emily Gamboa Ordini came up with a save in the 24th minute and the second attempt went wide of the mark.
- Wentworth continued to apply pressure and had a sequence of three shots , with one going on net. At the end of 45:00 of play, the Leopards had a 13-6 shot advantage.
- Both teams had scoring chances in the early going of the second half, including when Kayla Heister's shot off a Brianna Reid corner kick, was saved in the 53rd minute of play.
- In the 89th minute, Wentworth had a chance to take the lead when the Leopards were awarded a corner kick, however, were not able to generate an offensive chance.
- Emily Gamboa Ordini made six saves to record her first collegiate clean sheet. Wentworth had a 24-10 while Mount Holyoke had a slight edge in corner kicks, 5-4.
ALL-TIME SERIES:
- Tonight was the third all-time meeting; Wentworth leads the series, 1-0-2.
