Women’s Lacrosse Cruises to Senior Day Win Over Gordon
The Black & Gold get a big win on Senior Day end the season

BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology women's lacrosse team cruised to victory over the Gordon Fighting Scots on Senior Day at Sweeney Field. Anna Faberlle scored four goals and added one assist. Aliviah MacCormack and Maggie McCann each scored three goals while Grace Del Pilar, Grace Sweet, Syndey Vega, and Tessa Wilkie each added two goals. Lily Cohen made four saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Gordon took a 2-0 lead with a pair of player-up goals in the first two minutes of the first quarter. The Leopards answered with Aliviah MacCormack's tally making it 2-1.
- Two player-up goals from Sydney Vega and Tessa Wilkie gave Wentworth a 3-2 lead before the Fighting Scots tied the game two minutes later. Anna Faberlle's unassisted tally gave the Leopards a 4-3 lead after one.
- Grace Sweet and MacCormack scored a pair of player-up goals to stretch the lead to 6-3. Addie Kiphuth added a goal to make it 7-3 before the Fighting Scots got one back.
- Faberlle added two goals and McCann and Del Pilar got on the board to close the half and give Wentworth an 11-4 advantage heading into the break. Cohen made three first half saves.
- Olivia Shultz opened the third quarter with a goal to give Wentworth a 12-4 lead. The Fighting Scots got one back before Sweet, Bella Gillis, and Del Pilar scored three straight goals to push the Leopards' lead to 15-5.
- Gordon scored twice before Wilkie's player-up goal in the final minute gave Wentworth a 16-7 lead heading into the fourth.
- McCann and Faberlle scored a pair of goals in the first two and a half minutes of the fourth quarter to extend the lead. Vega, McCann, and MacCormack added tallies in the final frame before Gordon scored the final goal of the contest. Wentworth comes away with a big 21-8 win on Senior Day.
