Women’s Lacrosse Falls to Suffolk
Aliviah MacCormack scored two goals on four shots for the Leopards

BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology women's lacrosse team fell to the Suffolk Rams 18-6 on Tuesday afternoon. Aliviah MacCormack tallied two goals on four shots. Anna Faberlle, Maggie Belcher, Sydney Vega, and Maggie McCann each tallied one goal. Grace Sweet added one assist while Megan Cassady made seven saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Rams opened the scoring a minute into the game with a goal from Carley Ehwa. Vega tallied a player-up goal with 5:11 to play to tie the game before Suffolk jumped back in front 2-1 behind Ehwa's second goal of the contest.
- Ehwa scored her hat trick goal just over two minutes into the second quarter to make it 3-1 Rams. MacCormack got the Leopards back within one with her first goal of the game. Stella MacLelland put the Rams back in front by two before McCann's tally made it 4-3.
- Suffolk restored its two-goal lead after Zoe Peckham's player-up goal. The Rams scored two more goals over the next three minutes to take a 7-3 lead. Belcher's tally in the final minute made it 7-4 at the half.
- Faberlle scored an unassisted tally to make it 7-5 before MacCormack's player-up goal cut the deficit down to one. Suffolk responded with five goals in the final 5:40 of the third quarter to lead 12-6 heading into the fourth.
- The Rams were in control in the fourth quarter, scoring six goals while keeping the Leopards off the board. Suffolk came away with an 18-6 victory.
THE SERIES
- Today was the 2nd all-time meeting between the teams.
