Galan Picks Up Third CCC Rookie of the Week Award
Galan scored 10 goals with six assists for 16 overall points in a 1-1 week for Wentworth.
BOSTON, Mass. – Freshman Sarah Galan (Colchester, Mass.) garnered her third Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week honor as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Galan started a 1-1 week with the Leopards on a tear, rewriting the record books in a 22-9 non-conference victory over Salem State. Galan netted nine goals with five assists for 14 points against the Vikings, which set the single-game record for most points in a game in Wentworth women's lacrosse history.
Galan added a goal and a helper in the Leopards' setback to Roger Williams, which marked her seventh straight game on the scoreboard during her rookie campaign. In 13 games played, Galan has scored in all but one.
Wentworth will travel to Salve Regina for its final regular-season road test tomorrow for a 4:00 p.m. start.
