Garabedian grabbed a team-high 16 rebounds and scored 10 points for her seventh double double of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ayer hit a pair of free throws and added a layup to give Wentworth the early 4-3 lead in the opening minutes of the game. The Wildcats answered with six straight points before Ayer tallied another bucket to make it 9-6. Johnson & Wales turned up the pressure and hit shots to take a 20-10 lead after one.
- The second quarter was a low-scoring frame with the Wildcats in front 27-14 at the midway mark. Ayer continued to hit shots for the Leopards, but the Johnson & Wales defense kept the Leopards thirteen points. Mya Jiminez scored eight points in just over a minute to stretch the lead to 35-14. The Wildcats led by 24 at the half.
- Two quick scores from Garabedian and Ayer gave the Leopards a spark to open the second half. Isabella Suero's three halted the momentum and kickstarted a 9-0 run for the Wildcats. Mia Luna Zayas hit two threes in the third quarter and Garabedian added a triple. Johnson & Wales led 61-29 after three.
- Zayas, Garabedian, and Kailee McPhillips scored for Wentworth in the fourth quarter. Nya Breedy grabbed two rebounds, her first collegiate rebounds, in the final frame. The Wildcats stayed in control and cruised to a 79-36 win.
