BOSTON, Mass. – Four of five starters scored in double figures to propel Salve Regina over Wentworth Institute of Technology, 69-48, in Commonwealth Coast Conference women's basketball action Saturday afternoon inside Tansey Gymnasium.

The Seahawks (9-9, 5-4 CCC) shot 44.4% from the floor in the first quarter alongside 50% shooting from three-point range for an early double-digit lead. A three-pointer from junior Torie Scorpio (Cranston, R.I.) gave Salve a 13-6 advantage four minutes in, as the Seahawks carried the gap over the first quarter, 21-10.

Wentworth hung with the visitors in the second quarter, matching 16 of 18 Salve points over the next 10 minutes. Sophomore Erin Morton (Norway, Maine) scored seven points in the stretch accompanied by five from sophomore Stephanie Mini (Topsfield, Mass.), but senior Kerri Beland (Attleboro, Mass.), sophomore Mary Roark (Norton, Mass.), and senior Liv Pierce (Tyngsboro, Mass.) scored five points each for the Seahawks for a 40-26 lead at half.

Matching their point total from the first quarter, Salve used 21 points to Wentworth's 11 in the third, seven apiece coming from Pierce and Scorpio. In the final ten minutes, the Leopards outscored the visitors 11-8 with five points off the hands of junior Maya Spence (Georgetown, Mass.), but Salve's early lead proved too large to overcome.

Sophomore Molley Duclos (Greenfield, Mass.) led Wentworth with 10 points on 5-for-7 shooting from the floor, her fifth game in double figures this season. Mini followed with nine points and five rebounds, while Morton and senior Michelle McCloskey (Madison, Conn.) led on the glass with seven boards. Spence came off the bench to score a season-high seven points.

Rorke led all players with 15 points on 5-for-11 shooting from the floor, including 3-of-6 from downtown. Scorpio and Beland each scored 12 points with Beland contributing the game's lone double-double with 10 additional rebounds. Pierce rounded out Salve's top scoring with 14 points, just shy of a double-double with nine boards.

Wentworth (3-15, 1-8 CCC) travels to Western New England for its next contest on Tuesday, with tip-off slated for 5:30 p.m.
