Men's Cross Country Competes at Brown Bear Invitational
Jacob Thomas leads a Leopard quartet of runners with an 80th place finish

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's cross country team competed at the Brown Bear Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Competing with four-student-athletes in the 8K event, the Leopards did not record a team score on the day.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Jacob Thomas was the first Wentworth runner to cross the line, finishing 80th with a time of 31:14.3. Thomas just missed finishing inside the top half of the runners (158 total), with the 79th place runner finishing with a time of 31:13.3.
- Alexandro Velasquez placed 89th for the Black & Gold with a time of 31:43.8.
- Nate Lowe was right behind Velasquez with a 90th place finish (31:44.7).
- Hayden Pierce was the fourth Wentworth runner to finish, placing 92nd (31:45.8.

- Selected members of the team will compete at the prestigious Paul Short Invitational on Friday, October 3.
