#13 Men’s Volleyball Falls to Endicott in Regular Season Finale
Alem Dubcak tallied nine kills to lead the Black & Gold; Brayden Green dished out 32 assists

BEVERLY, Mass. – The #13 Wentworth Institute of Technology men's volleyball team fell in straight sets to the Endicott Gulls on Saturday afternoon. Alem Dubcak tallied nine kills, and Nicolai Bell added seven finishes. Brayden Green dished out 32 assists and Benajmin Moughon tallied a team-high six digs. Wentworth finishes the regular season with a 17-9 overall record and 6-1 mark in GNAC action.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Leopards took an early lead in the first set behind kills from Dubcak and Green. Endicott answered to make it a one-point game before an attack error tied the game 10-10 for the Gulls. The sides went back and forth with Conner Foxwell's kill tying the game at 15-all. Endicott took the lead on the next point and hit the 20-point mark first with a 20-18 lead. Jake Laborde tallied two kills late and errors from the Leopards gave Endicott the 25-21 win in set one.
- Endicott led 5-3 early in set two after two attack errors from Foxwell. The Leopards battled back and tied the game at 10-10 thanks to Bell's finish. Laborde and Aidan Iacovelli pushed the Gulls' lead to 15-12 at the midway mark of the set. Wentworth battled to stay in the game but trailed 20-16 after another kill from Laborde. William Biggs tallied a kill, and Moughon served an ace to make it a one-point game, but the hosts pushed the lead back to three. Endicott held on to win set two, 25-23.
- The teams went back and forth, exchanging the first 12 points with Moughon tying the game 6-6. Endicott jumped back in front 10-9 on a service error. Dubcak and Luke McQuaid had strong finishes to keep the deficit at one before the hosts stretched the lead back three. Iacovelli and Laborde made it 18-15 to the Gulls late in the set. Endicott finished the set on a 7-3 run to win 25-18 and complete the sweep.
