Ballard, Muller Earn CNE Weekly Honors
Ryan Ballard earns his second straight CNE Track Athlete of the Week award; Nate Muller named CNE Field Athlete of the Week
BEVERLY, Mass. – For the second straight week, two members of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's outdoor track and field team garnered recognition by the Conference of New England in the form of weekly awards. Ryan Ballard was named the CNE Track Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week while Nate Muller claimed his first CNE Field Athlete of the Week honor of the season. The awards are for meets participated in between March 31 – April 6.
Ballard was a star at the Jonathan Tymann Invitational, finishing first in two events. In the 3000M steeplechase, the junior logged a time of 10:04.41. In the 800M, Ballard was first to cross the finish at 2:05.31.
Muller continued the momentum from his indoor season to outdoor, continuing his torrid run by placing first in the pole vault with a launch of 4.25M.
The Black & Gold head to the Silfen Invitational at Connecticut College this weekend.
