Sullivan Qualifies for DIII New England Championship at Reggie Poyau Invite
Colleen Sullivan took first place in the 600m run with a 1:44.02 finish, which automatically enters her into the DIII New England Championship meet in February.
Waltham, Mass. – Freshman Colleen Sullivan (East Bridgewater, Mass.) headlined the Leopards' first indoor track meet of 2020 at the Reggie Poyau Invitational, earning a first-place finish in the 600m race held on the campus of Brandeis University on Saturday afternoon.
Sullivan, who won the 600m event with a 1:44.02 finish, additionally qualified for the Division III New England Championship meet, which will be held at the end of February in Springfield, Mass.
The Black & Gold had solid showings in the field events for the first meet of 2020, as freshman Josh Klages (Reading, Mass.) placed 6th in the high jump with a final mark of 1.80m. Senior Joe Aronov (Andover, Mass.) tacked on a pair of points for the Leopards in the pole vault with a 3.85m clear and a fifth place finish.
