BEVERLY, Mass. – The #6 Wentworth institute of Technology men's tennis team fell to #3 Endicott Gulls in the first round of the Conference of New England Tournament. The Gulls won 4-0 on the afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Rene Rodriguez and James Weete fell at No. 2 doubles, 0-6, and Grace Ferguson and Jasper Pearman fell at No. 3 doubles, 0-6, as the Gulls took the lead.
- Weete battled hard but fell at No. 3 singles, 1-6 & 0-6, and the Gulls led 2-0. Endicott got the win at No. 4 singles, as Eric Sechen fell 1-6, 0-6, to give the hosts a 3-0 lead.
- Endicott secured the victory after Pearman fell at No. 5 singles, 0-6 & 0-6, to move on to the next round of the tournament.
