NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's tennis team wrapped up the regular season at Colby-Sawyer on Wednesday afternoon. The Leopards fell 6-1 to finish the regular season at 6-8 overall and 6-5 in conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- James Weete and Jasper Pearman fell at No. 2 doubles before Rene Rodriguez and Grace Ferguson fell at No. 3 doubles, 4-6, in a hard-fought match. Andre Juscamaita and Eric Sechen battled hard at No. 1 doubles but came up short 5-7.
- Noah Tarring and Pearman were defeated at No. 6 and No. 5 singles, respectively, as Colby-Sawyer stretched its lead.
- A win at No. 2 singles secured the victory for the hosts as Rodriguez fell in a tough match. Sechen and Weete were defeated at No. 4 singles and No. 3 singles, respectively.
- Juscamaita got the win at No. 1 singles, coming away with a 6-2, 7-5 victory to give the Leopards their first point of the match.
