BIDDEFORD, Maine – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's tennis team picked up a big Conference of New England win over the University of New England on Friday afternoon. The Leopards improve to 5-7 this season and 5-4 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Andre Juscamaita and Rene Rodriguez battled hard at No. 1 doubles, falling 4-6. Eric Sechen and James Weete were in a tough battle at No. 2 doubles, ultimately falling 4-6. The Nor'Easters swept the doubles matches and took a 1-0 lead.
Sechen won at No. 4 singles, 6-1 & 6-1, to even the score for the Leopards.
Noah Tarring got the win at No. 6 singles, 6-2 & 6-2, before Rodriguez won at No. 2 singles to tie the match 2-2.
Rodriguez won at No. 2 singles (6-2) to put the Leopards in front before Jasper Pearman's win at No. 5 singles (2-6, 7-6, 6-4) secured the victory for Wentworth.
Juscamaita closed the afternoon with a win at No. 1 singles, winning a three-set thriller 5-7, 6-4, 6-2.
