Juscamaita Clinches Men's Tennis' Win over Hartford
Andrew Juscamaita won a three-set battle at No. 1 singles to clinch the Leopards' 4-3 win over Hartford; Juscamaita also had a win at No. 2 doubles

WEYMOUTH, Mass. – Andre Juscamaita's three-set win at No. 1 singles snapped a 3-all tie and lifted the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's tennis team to a 4-3 win over the University of Hartford on Saturday night.
With the win the Leopards improve to 1-2 overall and 1-0 in Conference of New England play while the Hawks fall to 1-7 (1-2).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Hartford took two of the three doubles flights to take a 1-0 lead. Juscamaita teamed with James Weete to win at No. 2, 6-2.
- Weete tied the match for the Leopards with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 4 before Hartford reclaimed the lead, 2-1, after a win at No. 3 singles.
- Rene Rodriguez made it 2-2 with a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 2 and Chris Hu put the hosts on top, 3-2, with a 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 win at No. 6.
- The Hawks staved off Wentworth's victory attempt at No. 5 as Jasper Pearman was topped, 6-1, 4-6, 2-6,
- Juscamaita lost the first set, 5-7, before forcing a third set with a 6-4 win. In the third set, he prevailed, 7-5, giving Wentworth its win of the season.
