BRISTOL, R.I. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's tennis team wrapped up a busy week of matches with a 7-0 loss at Roger Williams in Conference of New England play Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Hawks improve to 17-1 overall and remain undefeated (8-0) in league play. The Leopards fall to 5-12 (3-5).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Roger Williams took the three doubles flight to take a 1-0 lead. Andrew Juscamaita and Pranav Marwaha were defeated at No. 1, 1-6, while Tom Kot and James Weete fell at No. 3 by a similar score. Eric Doraci and Rene Rodriguez were defeated, 2-6, giving the Hawks the sweep.
- Weet lost at No. 4 (0-6, 1-6), Juscamaita was defeated at No.1, 1-6, 0-6, while Rodriguez fell, 2-6, 0-6, at No. 3 which gave Roger Williams a 4-0 lead and clinched the match.
- Marwaha (2-6, 1-6) lost at No. 2, Kot fell, 2-6, 1-6, at No. 6, an Doraci was defeated, 2-6, 1-6, at No. 5
