Pepin Earns CCC Defensive Player of the Week Honors
Sophomore Kevin Pepin made his first collegiate start one to remember, stopping all 11 shots in a 3-0 win over Curry
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore keeper Kevin Pepin (Fairhaven, Mass.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's soccer team has earned Commonwealth Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors for games played during the week of September 30-October 6.
Pepin's lone appearance for the week was his first collegiate start in which he made 11 saves in a 3-0 win over Curry that snapped a four-game losing streak. He stopped a penalty kick in the first half and made six saves in the second half.
He has made two appearances for the 2-9 Leopards, posting a 0.84 goals against average and a .917 save percentage.
The Leopards host WPI on Wednesday night.
