Four Men's Lacrosse Student-Athletes to Play in NEILA All-Star Game
Jake Rocchio, Tom Gardner, Connor Charron, and Erik Vogt set to take the field one last time tonight at Providence College
BOSTON, Mass. – A program-record four Wentworth Institute of Technology men's lacrosse student-athletes have been chosen to participate in the 2025 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association East-West Senior All-Star Game, which will be played tonight (May 30) at 7:00 p.m. at Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium on the campus of Providence College in Providence, R.I.
Fifty-one players from Divisions 1, 2 & 3 will compete in this year's all-star game, with Wentworth's quartet joining two other Conference of New England student-athletes from Curry on the East team, while four Western New England student-athletes will compete on the West team.
All players and coaches were nominated by the head coaches within the NEILA. Players were then ranked and selected by a committee, awarding seniors from all three NCAA Divisions who played their college career in the New England region. This all-star game is the only one of its kind, being a regional all-star game which includes players from Divisions 1, 2, and 3.
The Leopards will be represented by attackman Erik Vogt, faceoff specialist Connor Charron, long-stick midfielder Jake Rocchio, and goalie Tom Gardner. All four were selected to the Conference of New England All-Conference Teams earlier this month.
Since 1999, 15 Wentworth men's lacrosse student-athletes have been selected to play in this game and they join Dryden Fisher, who last weekend competed in the USILA North-South All-Star Game; just the third-ever Leopard to be chosen for that game.
