Golf Defeats Eastern Nazarene
Junior Paul Arsenault leads three players with rounds in the 70s as the Leopards best the Lions, 303-432
BROOKLINE, Mass. – Junior Paul Arsenault (Middleton, Mass.) shot a 71 to pace the Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team to a 303-432 victory over Eastern Nazarene in a dual match played at the par 70, 6,193-yard Robert T. Lynch Golf Course Wednesday afternoon.
Arsenault was joined by a pair of Leopards who also shot in the 70s. Senior Zach Sousa (Middleboro, Mass.) carded a four-over 74 and freshman Matthew Pleshaw (Franklin, Mass.) shot a 78 on the day. Junior Enrique Arrieche (Caracas, Venezuela) shot and 80 to complete Wentworth's scoring rounds while freshman Sean L'Italien (Pembroke, Mass.) shot an 87.
Sophomore Connor Simpson (Haverhill, Mass.) led the Lions with an 88. Sophomore Will Francis (Midlothian, Va.) carded a 106, junior Rob Dukes (Spencer, Mass.) shot a 116, and Britley Seiter had a 122 on the day.
Wentworth will complete the fall portion of its schedule at the 82nd Annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championships on Oct. 23-24.
