Golf Ties for 14th at JWU Invitational
Leopards shoot a two-day total of 648 with senior Brad Tyler tying for 25th with a 157
CRANSTON, R.I. – Senior Pat Sullivan (Needham, Mass.) finished tied for 25th after shooting a two-day total of 157 (76-81) to help pace the Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team to a two-day total of 648 and tie for 14th at the Johnson & Wales Wildcat Invitational. The Leopards finished tied with Southern Maine and were just 10 strokes out of finishing in the top 10.
The event was held at the Par 71, 6,495-yard Cranston Country Club and featured 21 teams (104 golfers).
Senior Brandon Goold (Foxboro, Mass.) finished in a tie for 36th after his total of 160 (76-84), freshman Paul Arsenault (Middleton, Mass.) carded a 161 (86-75) to finish tied for 41st while junior Brad Tyler (San Diego, Calif.) and freshman Enrique Arrieche (Caracas, Venezuela) both shot a 172 to finish tied for 85th. Tyler shot an 88 on Saturday and an 84 on Sunday while Arrieche shot 90 on Saturday and an 82 on Sunday.
Wentworth seeks its first Commonwealth Coast Conference title since 2005 next weekend when the Leopards are at the CCC Championships in Beverly, Mass.
