Golf Finishes Second at Emmanuel Quad Match
Leopards match their season low score of 326 to finish eight shots behind Worcester State; freshman Paul Arsenault records a career-low 80
BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team matched its season best with a 326 as the Leopards finished second at a quad match hosted by Emmanuel College. Wentworth's 326 was eight strokes behind Worcester State's 318 while finishing ahead of Suffolk (338) and the host Saints (348).
Freshman Paul Arsenault (Middleton, Mass.) shot a career-low 80 to lead the Leopards as he finished fourth overall. Seniors Brandon Goold (Foxboro, Mass.) and Pat Sullivan (Needham, Mass.) each carded an 81, which tied them for fifth. Junior Ian Therriault (Auburn, Maine) shot and 84 (t-9th) to complete Wentworth's scoring rounds, while junior John Doran (Weymouth, Mass.) finished tied for 12th as he shot an 85 for the day.
Wentworth heads to Bernardston, Mass. this weekend to compete at the ECAC Division III Men's Golf Championships, which will be played at the Crumpin-Fox Club.
