Golf Places Sixth at Bison Fall Invitational
Junior Bryan Cohen cards an 80 to tie for 12th overall as Wentworth finishes with a 343
WORCESTER, Mass. – Led by junior Bryan Cohen's (Caracas, Venezuela) nine-over 81, the Wentworth golf team shot a 343 at the 2011 Bison Fall Invitational, held at Green Hill Country Club in Worcester, Mass.
Endicott College carded a 311 to take home the team championship, followed by Tufts (319) and Worcester State (327). Nichols' two teams finished a stroke apart from each other as the "white team" shot a 328 and the "black team" a 329. Roger Williams' 361 finished behind the Leopards on the day. Individually, Nichols sophomore Brian Sears (North Grafton, Mass.) and Endicott sophomore Nick Erlichman (Shrewsbury, Mass.) each carded a 74 (+2) to earn co-medalist honors.
Cohen's 80 placed him tied for 12th in the 35-player event, while classmate Jose Armenteros (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) and freshman Robbie Wells Rogers (Colchester, Vt.) each tied for 22nd with an 86. Junior Anthony Bisceglia (Holden, Mass.) rounded out Wentworth's four scorers with a 90 while freshman Dante Christofori (Springfield, Mass.) also competed for the Leopards, shooting a 93.
The Leopards will compete at the Franklin Pierce Invitational this Wednesday (Oct. 12).
