Chase Mello Earns Academic All-District Honors

BOSTON, Mass. – Chase Mello of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's basketball team has been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, as announced by the office on Tuesday afternoon.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

To be eligible for consideration, student-athletes must meet the following criteria:

• Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore, eligibility wise.
• Student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average.
• Student-athletes must have played in at least 90 percent of their team's games or have started in at least 66 percent of their team's games.
