Men's Basketball Earns NABC Team Academic Excellence Award; Five Named to Honors Court
Seniors Thomas Hacker, Conor Rubenskas, Jack Schaake, Sam Swift, and junior Sam Goy named to Honors Court while Leopards bring in fifth team award in last six seasons
BOSTON, Mass. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced today its 11th annual Team Academic Excellence Awards, created by the NABC Committee on Academics. These awards recognize outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better for the 2022-23 season. Wentworth has earned the Team Excellence Award again in 2022-23, marking the fifth time in the last six seasons.
In addition to the team earning an NABC Team Excellence Award, the Leopards had five student-athletes named to the NABC Honors Court. Senior Thomas Hacker (Averill Park, N.Y.), senior Conor Rubenskas (Bridgewater, Mass.), senior Jack Schaake (Hampton, N.H.), senior Sam Swift (Arlington, Mass.), and junior Sam Goy (Derry, N.H.) each finished the 2022-23 academic year with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.
