Five from Baseball Collect CSC Academic All-District Honors
Nick Cullinan, Jake Prisco, Devon Lapierre, Jake Samela, and Matthew Favazzo represent the Leopards as CSC Academic All-District honorees
BOSTON, Mass. – Five members of the Wentworth Institute of Technology baseball team have been recognized by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) as Academic All-District honorees.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball Team, selected by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
In order to be eligible for consideration, student-athletes must meet the following criteria:
- No more than five student-athletes from any one institution are eligible to make the team.
- Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore, eligibility wise.
- Student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average.
- Student-athletes must have played in at least 90 percent of their team's games or have started in at least 66 percent of their team's games.
Wentworth's five honorees are Nick Cullinan, Jake Prisco, Devon Lapierre, Jake Samela, and Matthew Favazzo. Prisco has claimed the accolade in each of his three years of eligibility while Favazzo earns Academic All-District honors for the second consecutive year.
