Carlson, Cotta Named Leopards of the Week
Lily Carlson of women's soccer and Joey Cotta of men's cross country earn this week's honors
BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore Lily Carlson (New Braintree, Mass.) of women's soccer and sophomore Joey Cotta (Scarborough, Maine) of men's cross country have been named Leopards of the Week for the week of September 9 - September 15.
Carlson played a huge role in Wentworth's 2-0 week, scoring a goal and adding an assist in a 5-0 blowout over Fisher before scoring the game-tying tally against Salem State just prior to halftime. For the week, the sophomore picked up five points.
Cotta led the Leopards at the Pop Crowell Invitational, finishing 13th with a time of 28:14.6. His 12 points earned helped the Black & Gold notch a fourth-place finish as a team out of a pool of nine institutions.
