BOSTON, Mass. – After postings two Great Northeast Athletic Conference victories, the Wentworth men's volleyball team garnered Rookie of the Week honors with freshman Connor Adams (Budd Lake, N.J.), as announced Monday afternoon.
This is the first honor from the GNAC that Adams has received, as the Leopards went 3-0 with a crucial five-set victory over Johnson & Wales. With the win against the Wildcats and earlier sweep of Regis, the Leopards jumped to the No. 2 seed in conference standings with five league games to go.
Adams averaged 10.00 assists per set over five sets played for the Leopards. He dished out 11 assists with a service ace to sweep the Regis Pride last Tuesday, before setting a new career-high with a match-best 39 assists in a 3-0 sweep over Medgar Evers.
Wentworth returns to Tansey Gym tomorrow evening for a non-conference match against Cal Lutheran, which received 16 votes in the latest National Poll.
